The Fontana Unified School District is located in Southern California, a fast-growing community 50 miles east of Los Angeles. Fontana Unified School District has 44 schools and serves students from preschool through adult education. Fontana's schools are recognized nationwide for their fast growth in student achievement.

The elementary schools in Fontana District are either K-5 or K-6.  Fontana's elementary schools are year-round schools and follow either a single track or four track calendar. Middle schools are grades 6-8, except for Sequoia Middle School which has grades 7-8 only. Middle schools are are year-round and follow a single-track calendar.  High schools are grades 9-12 and follow an early start calendar schedule.
